What is Vinpocetine?
Vinpocetine is prepared from the leaves of the lesser periwinkle. Used in Eastern Europe for age related memory impairment, vinpocetine is prescribed for the treatment of cerebro-vascular disorders, the results of which can include stroke and hypertension.
Vinpocetine’s cerebral-flow enhancing and neuro-protective effects come through its vasodilation (widening of the blood vessels) which have also made it a popular body building supplement.
