Dosage of Echinacea
Echinacea is recommended to be used periodically for only two weeks at a time as it loses effectiveness when used continuously. The effectiveness is normally restored after a break of just one or two weeks. At the onset of a cold or flu, 250mg (1 capsule) can be taken up to 8 times daily two or three times daily for a total of 7 to 10 days.
