What is Vegetarian Alpha Lipoic Acid?
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA or thioctic acid), is an antioxidant enzyme found in the mitochondria which provide and transport energy in human cells. Alpha Lipoic Acid is sometimes referred to as a “universal antioxidant” as it is both water and fat soluable. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a strong antioxidant and it also recycles other antioxidants, like vitamin C and vitamin E and glutathione improving their potency. Alpha Lipoic Acid is more effective in combating free radicals in the body than most other antioxidants. ALA also helps the B vitamins to convert carbohydrates, fats and proteins into energy.

Alpha Lipoic Acid Dosage
Recommended dosage ranges from 300 – 600 mgs; take 1 or 2 tablets daily with meals.
